Verified Merchant Documentation

1. Supported Payment Methods

Sengaanthal partners with Razorpay Software Private Limited, an RBI-regulated payment aggregator, to provide secure, encrypted online payment processing. We accept payment methods enabled on our verified merchant gateway:

Unified Payments Interface (UPI)

Instant payment via Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, CRED, and any UPI-compliant banking application with zero surcharge.

Credit & Debit Cards

Visa, MasterCard, RuPay, and Maestro cards issued by domestic Indian banks, with mandatory two-factor OTP authentication.

Net Banking

Direct account transfer via 50+ major commercial Indian banks (including SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, and Kotak).

Cash on Delivery (COD) / Studio Pickup

Available exclusively for select handcrafted products and campus deliveries where configured. Payment is collected upon physical handover.

Note: Available payment options may vary by order type, cart items, delivery method, and gateway availability at the time of checkout.

2. Currency & Price Transparency

All transactions are denominated and billed in Indian National Rupees (INR / ₹). The total amount shown on the checkout summary includes the price of each product, any applicable delivery charges, and packaging fees. Sengaanthal operates below the statutory threshold requiring Goods and Services Tax (GST) registration; therefore, invoices are issued as Sales Bills / Payment Receipts without claiming GST credit or collecting separate GST levies.

3. Payment Lifecycle & Status Definitions

To ensure clarity and transparency, our order tracking system reflects the following validated payment states:

Payment Pending:

The order has been created in our system, but online payment has not yet been initiated or completed by the customer.

Payment Processing:

The customer is completing authentication with their bank or UPI app. We are awaiting the gateway callback.

Payment Authorized:

The customer’s bank has verified and held the funds. Note that funds must be captured before the order is treated as fully settled.

Payment Captured / Verified:

Funds have been successfully and irreversibly captured by the gateway. The order is officially confirmed as paid, and a verified Sales Bill / Payment Receipt is issued.

Payment Failed:

The transaction could not be completed (e.g., due to insufficient balance, bank server timeout, or incorrect PIN). Customers may retry checkout.

Refund Pending:

A refund has been authorized by Sengaanthal and submitted to Razorpay, awaiting final settlement by the customer’s issuing bank.

Partially Refunded / Refunded:

The refund has been executed on the payment network. The credited funds will appear on the customer’s statement.

Requires Review:

An amount or signature mismatch was detected that requires manual admin reconciliation before fulfillment can proceed.

4. Authoritative Verification Standard

Crucial Fulfillment Condition:

An order or rental booking is never considered paid based solely on a browser success message, redirect URL, or customer screenshot. Confirmation occurs strictly when our server-side integration verifies the cryptographic HMAC-SHA256 signature and validates the captured state with Razorpay.

5. Payment Security & Credentials Privacy

Sengaanthal strictly adheres to industry security standards:

  • No Storage of Banking Credentials: Sengaanthal never stores, logs, or has access to full credit/debit card numbers, CVVs, card PINs, UPI PINs, or net banking passwords.
  • PCI-DSS Compliant Encryption: All cardholder data is collected directly by Razorpay’s PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant secure payment modal with end-to-end TLS 1.3 encryption.
  • Zero Solicitation Policy: Sengaanthal customer support representatives will never contact you asking for your card PIN, UPI PIN, OTP, CVV, or passwords.
